In the video below, we’re going to walk you through how to clone settings across zones in EZLogic® NET using the EZLogic® OS app. This is a great way to save time and ensure consistent configurations across multiple conveyor zones.
Before You Start
Here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
- Not all features can be cloned—Smart I/O settings, for example, must be configured individually.
- In EZLogic® OS, any zone highlighted in green in the Zone Selector Pane is selected for cloning.
Step 1: Connect to the Gateway
- Use a USB Type-A to USB Mini-B programming cable to connect your PC or Bluetooth Module to the Gateway Master.
- Plug the Mini-B end into the “Config” port on the Gateway, and the Type-A end into your PC or Bluetooth Module.
Step 2: Open EZLogic® OS and Connect
- Launch the EZLogic® OS app on your desktop or mobile device.
- Select “Connect to Controller (Online)” to access your conveyor zones.
- When connected, all discovered zones will appear in the Zone Selector Pane on the left side of the screen.
Step 3: Select Your Clone Range
There are two easy ways to select the zones you want to clone:
- Enter a range manually at the bottom of the Zone Selector Pane. For example, to clone zones 2 through 6, type “2” in the first box and “6” in the second.
- Right click on individual zones to include it in the clone range. Or right click one zone and another zone to include those zones and all zones in between.
Important Note: You can only clone linearly. For example, you can clone 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11. You cannot clone 7, 9, and 13.
Step 4: Clone the Configuration
- After selecting the clone range and identifying the zone with the desired configuration, click “Clone Range” in the Shortcuts Bar at the bottom of the window.
- When the cloning window appears, select the parameters you want to clone or select the “all cloneable” option to select all parameters of that zone.
- Then click the “Clone” button in the bottom right corner.
- If cloning is successful, you’ll see a confirmation message.
You’ve just cloned your EZLogic® NET configuration across multiple zones—making setup faster, easier, and more consistent.
