About Brooks Mauldin

I was born and raised in Alma, Ark. When I’m not at work, I enjoy sharing Jesus with others, mountain biking, shooting guns and woodworking. I’ve been married to my wife, Kaylee for almost two years now. We have two puppies, Cooper and Mac. They are the best!

What excites you about working for Hytrol?

I really enjoy the teamwork with the employees, whether in the office, shop or cafeteria. Everybody is happy to be here and love what they’re doing. I would have to agree with Tom Loberg when he said, “We have the best people!”

What are your current responsibilities?

I receive factory orders and design each conveyor to meet the needs and specifications of the customer. This can often lead to creating a new part for special systems, which is always interesting since the design is completely up to the engineer! This is very rewarding when it works out for the shop as an easy building process and a solid design for the customer.

What do you love about your job?

I love the interaction with all of my coworkers. I know I can trust them to help me with issues I may have on a system and work with me to find the best solution. It can be hard to work in a place where everyone is always tense. Hytrol is a place where the people are truly happy to be here and enjoy what they do, which makes for a low stress, if not stress free, environment.

What do you find most challenging in your position?

The pace at which our department works. We have so much business that we constantly work our hardest to ensure shipments are met and the designs are top of the line in quality. This is a good thing though; it means Hytrol is doing great and I enjoy challenging work! It’s nice to know and see that so many companies around the world want our product to help their businesses thrive.

Complete this statement: When I think of Hytrol, I think of innovation.

It’s always good to see a company designing and implementing new techniques in their industry as Hytrol does. I see videos on Facebook where somebody is discussing material handling with how impressive/innovative it is becoming and you see Hytrol logos everywhere on the conveyors within the video. You would be hard-pressed to buy something that didn’t make contact with a Hytrol conveyor before it reaches you, and that’s just cool.

What goals do you hope to achieve at Hytrol?

To be the best engineer I can be for Hytrol and the employees to make their jobs easier and/or better when possible. I hope to grow as a leader here. There are many opportunities within Hytrol that create ways to help move the company forward and I want to be a part of those opportunities whenever possible.
