In today's Ask Hytrol video, we’re going to discuss how to replace a belt on the ProSort MRT. This task is recommended for two people. So before you get started, have someone assist you with the following steps: Following proper lock-out tag-out procedures, begin by removing the four bolts holding the wear strip support channel in place. Slide the channel toward the discharge end of the conveyor until it pulls free from the wear strip, then pull off to either side of the conveyor.

In today's Ask Hytrol video, we're going to talk about how to install a Hytrol gear reducer. Models 4AC and 5AC speed reducers are supplied with a "C-Face" adapter and may be coupled directly to the motor via coupling gears and a sleeve. During installation, it is recommended to use the supplied Hytrol Motor Coupling Gage for accurately locating both coupling gears to their correct setting on the shaft.
In this Ask Hytrol video, we’re going to talk about how to install Hytrol’s E24™ 3.0 card. The E24™ 3.0 card offers increased versatility and reliability over the previous generation. To install this technology, follow proper lock-out tag-out procedures and then mount the control in a location where the motor cable reaches the connection header, but does not strain the cable connector or header. Select the motor you will be using by matching the control settings to the motor in use. Turn switc...
In today's Ask Hytrol video, we're going to demonstrate how to set the speed using the dip switches on the E24i™ motor.  There are six numbered dip switches located on the E24i motor. When the dip switches are aligned on the right, they are in the ON position. When they are aligned on the left, they are in the OFF position. Switches 1 and 2 are read only at power up, which means any changes to the switches will not work until the power is cycled to the E24i™.
Today, we're going to demonstrate how simple it is to replace a drop-in pulley. With its quick-change capabilities, this pulley's drop-in design allows for minimal downtime on the production floor. This style of pulley can be found on the induction units of models ProSort 100, ProSort 400, before and after the divert buckets on the ProSort SC, and on the model Gapper. Here's how to replace a drop-in pulley:
In today's Ask Hytrol, we're going to discuss how to upgrade your ProSort 400's switch to the latest configuration. First, remove the hex bolt on the rubber bushing mounting bracket. Disconnect the green airlines from the fittings on the cylinder. Loosen the jam nut on the cylinder rod so that the cylinder may unscrew from the rod end. Unscrew the rubber bushing from the cylinder's base. Once the old bushing is removed, add a drop of thread locker onto the new bushing stud and screw the stud t...
In the latest Ask Hytrol, we're going to discuss how to upgrade the ProSort 100's divert switch to the latest configuration. Following proper lock-out tag-out procedures, remove the divert from the unit. Detach the locknut from the vibration mount holding the cylinder mount to the switch plate. Remove the locknuts above the rod end so that the actuator assembly can be pulled out. Unplug the two green airlines. Discard the rubber bushing and mounting angle from the cylinder's end.
When facilitating  a training event at Hytrol or at a customer's facility, we always ask participants to share their main goal(s) or objectives for the training so that we can confirm we meet them. Almost without fail, at least one response is, "My boss sent me." It's disappointing to hear because it means the employee does not have a clear understanding of why they are in training in the first place and what the desired business outcome for their attendance is. Without that understanding, the e...
In this Ask Hytrol post, we’re going to talk about how to use the Hytrol Toolbox app, a free app available to Integration Partners and End Users. This app was designed with the maintenance person in mind. With the Hytrol Toolbox app, you can view information about your conveyor, identify part numbers, select a quantity, and email your required list directly to your purchaser, Integration Partner, or Hytrol--all from your iOS, Android, Windows, or Kindle device.
Importing a spare parts order into HEROES allows for electronic tracking for spare parts orders and removes the possibility of order duplication. Let’s talk about how to import this list from HyNet.
Welcome to Ask Hytrol. Today, we're going to talk about reading EZLogic® LED indicator lights to determine zone status. The first step when troubleshooting an error on any Hytrol EZLogic® model of conveyor is to determine whether or not it is an EZLogic® problem.
