About Corey Bevis
I’m from Jonesboro, Arkansas. I graduated from Arkansas State University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering in 2016. When I’m not at work, I enjoy making music. I play guitar in my church’s worship band on Sundays. Occasionally, I play the French horn as a substitute for the Delta Symphony Orchestra.
What are your current responsibilities?
I handle nearly all engineering and manufacturing issues that may come up during second shift. I take care of rush orders, bills of materials (BOM) and pull list updates, change requests and drawing updates. I’m also responsible for assigning Factory Orders (FOs) to a design engineer. In addition, I review and answer questions about orders before they are released and make their way through the shop. I try to help with any other issues that the shop is having on any given FO or conveyor model.
What do you love about your job?
I enjoy the friendly work environment where I get to constantly learn and see new things.
What do you find most challenging in your position?
Since becoming a product engineer, I have received questions about many conveyor models that I am unfamiliar with. It has been a good learning experience.
