 To identify the issue, begin by manually flagging the corresponding photo eye, as well as the one upstream. If the zone does not respond, a communication error may be the cause. To further examine the EZLogic® zone, connect to the Genesis™ software, and the diagnostic screen will flag any communication errors.


Next, identify the root cause by examining the following:

1. Check the cables to make sure they are connect properly and in good condition.

2. Remove the zone controller, and check the pins on the backside.

3. Check the pins on the upstream zone controller.

A loose cable or misaligned pin is likely the cause. Once this issue is resolved, the zone should function properly.
