About Cliff Mullis

I am from Jonesboro, Arkansas and have spent most of my life here. When I was younger, I lived in McCleansville, North Carolina for five years. I am married to Tracy and we have four children, 15-year-old Mason, 11-year-old Brayden, 3-year-old Jax, and 2-month-old Hattie. When I’m not at my desk, I enjoy working around the family farm, riding horses and doing software development.

What excites you about working for Hytrol?

I enjoy seeing a project develop from a concept in AutoCAD to the launch date with the customer. Since I understand the amount of effort it takes to make this happen, it always impresses me to see what we are capable of.

What are your current responsibilities?

I’m responsible for business development, including new market development and penetration, point-of-sale support for Hytrol’s integration partners, and for driving end user value. I get involved in systems projects and I love to help with the integration of automation systems into our customer’s host systems.

What do you love about your job?

In this position, every day is different. I love change, so I am never bored in this role.

What do you find most challenging in your position?

The most challenging thing for me is the increasing demand from our customers. Our employees are constantly under pressure to meet very short deadlines regarding system quoting, design and manufacturing. In my position, I provide reassurance and establish trust between all parties involved so that everyone’s needs and expectations are met.

Complete this statement: When I think of Hytrol, I think of a family company that has the ability to accomplish great things.

What goals do you hope to achieve at Hytrol?

I want to continue contributing to our long-term goals while growing my responsibility within our organization.
