Seminar or On-Site? Your Training Options with Hytrol

Seminar_Blog_Graphic_1As technology improves, it’s important to keep your knowledge base up to date.  A material handling solution is a big investment, and Hytrol has always kept that in mind when hosting training for end users and integration partners. Since we hosted our first sales school in 1970, and our first maintenance seminar 20 years after, we’ve made sure this training is affordable and valuable.

Hytrol offers seminars at the Hytrol facility and on-site training at your own facility. If you’re debating between the two, follow these general guidelines to help you decide.

Seminars

At a Hytrol seminar, you will spend 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 days with people from different industries, learning about Hytrol’s equipment and production processes, and networking with Hytrol employees. There are a few elements to consider when choosing a Hytrol seminar.

Most cost effective for 1 to 2 people

You pay for transportation to Memphis/Jonesboro. We pay the rest—your hotel room, food, and shuttling to and from the plant. Seriously.

Networking opportunities

Not only do you get to learn about solutions during a seminar—you also learn about the people who use and create those solutions. Meet Hytrol’s team of providers and develop relationships with the people you’ll be talking to. This aspect of a seminar is often invaluable to those who attend, and a big reason this training is so popular year after year.

Hands-on training

Since you’ll be working with conveyor not currently being used in production, you’ll get more hands-on training at a seminar. See solutions of all types, take them apart, and put them back together without interrupting any production processes.

Production process training

Broad span of equipment training

If you want to learn a broader range of the standard equipment and solutions Hytrol has to offer, a seminar is your best bet. We’ll show you the most popular conveyor models and applications for each.

No distractions

There may be nothing so hazardous to an effective training session as the constant interruptions that can happen at on-site training. At a seminar, you’ll be able to focus all of your energy on learning, without having to worry about any work-related emergencies.

On-Site Training

On-site training is when Hytrol sends employees to your site for training. This kind of training is naturally more tailored to your own equipment and set up on your own timeline. The following are elements to consider for on-site training.

Most cost-effective for a group of people

If you want to train 3 or more people at once, consider on-site training. There’s no hourly fee; you pay only a small charge for the expense of two Hytrol trainers traveling to your facility. For anyone who may have a large group of employees needing a refresher course or starting anew, on-site training will get them up to speed in the most cost-effective way.

Flexible time frame

Some companies prefer to revisit training before a holiday season; some are opening new facilities. Whatever your time frame is, on-site training is the best way to make sure you know what you need to know, when you need to know it. We can also customize the actual start and end times of the training or conduct multiple sessions to accommodate a second shift without disturbing your work schedules.

Tailored to your equipment

So you don’t want to go over all of the conveyor models you’ll never use? Good; we’ll use the extra time to give you more in-depth overviews of what you do have. More specific means more time for real-life applications of your equipment.

Get customized materials and a system walk-through

Hytrol supplies customized maintenance binders as well as quick reference pocket cards for applicable solutions at your facility. We also furnish digital copies of all training presentations and documents during the session.

And, we’ll do a system walk-through with an expert from Hytrol. We look at your equipment, application, and any problem areas, then make recommendations. While this is not a full system audit akin to field support, it can be helpful to make small changes to your facility.

At Hytrol, we’re proud to offer the best solutions, the best service, and the best training—all at the most value to our customers. Decide how you’d like to take part in this advantage today.
